DATE CHANGE: SC Whitmore School Holds 4th Annual Pizza at the Park

Columbia, SC- Due to Hurricane Matthew, South Carolina Whitmore School has changed the date of their annual Pizza at the Park. They will now hold their annual Pizza at the Park on Friday, October 14, 2016 at five different locations throughout the state. The event is open to all and serves as one of the first field trips for students enrolled in the virtual school. Pizza at the Park gives students an opportunity to meet their peers, faculty, and other families enrolled in SCWS while giving the community a chance to learn about the school. The event will be held from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM at all locations.

SC Whitmore School is a free, virtual charter public high school that was founded in 2011 and aims to engage students in mastery learning. The school’s objective for students is to become independent learners in a challenging way while giving them the essential tools for success that they may need. This unique environment of learning is an alternate form of education for students who may be on an accelerated track or need a flexible academic calendar.
