New Board of Directors at SC Whitmore School

Columbia, SC – SC Whitmore School (SCWS), a virtual public high school and member school of the SC Public Charter School District, announces the board of directors for the 2022 – 2023 school year.

SC Whitmore School has a total of seven board members, representing the entire state of South Carolina. Following the first meeting on September 8, 2022, the board appointed Thomas “TC” Bowers of Newberry, SC to join the team. The SC Whitmore School board includes the following members with their respective hometowns and positions on the board.

Stig Rasmussen – Columbia, SC – SCWS Board Chair

Antonio Simon – Columbia, SC – SCWS Treasurer

Matt Rogers – Mauldin, SC – SCWS Secretary

Timothy Behling – Aiken, SC – Member

Thomas “TC” Bowers – Newberry, SC – Member

Leah Crosby – Ravenel, SC – Member

Ericka Hursey – Eastover, SC – Member

The members will serve terms of one or two years. 

The SCWS Principal, Eboné Adams said, “We are pleased with the board representation that we have. Our board members have been so engaged and have shown great interest in elevating our school to the next level. It’s always a pleasure to work with community leaders who invest their time and resources in efforts to see our students thrive.”

SC Whitmore School will host three remaining board meetings this year on December 8, 2022, March 9, 2023, and June 8, 2023. Please check our website for more details about our board meetings.

Executive Director Kim Dunbar said, “We are thrilled to have such a strong board full of community members that are experts in their fields. They all have a desire to support the youth of South Carolina and continue making SC Whitmore a school that serves all students regardless of their background or zip code.”
