SC Whitmore School Announces Blue Diamond Scholarship Winners

Columbia, SC – Sixty-four seniors received their high school diplomas from SC Whitmore School on June 3, 2017 during the school’s spring commencement exercises at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
Of those 64 graduates, 13 students received the SCWS Blue Diamond Scholarship of $1,000.00 each. Students eligible for the Blue Diamond Scholarship must earn a minimum GPA of 4.0 in SCWS courses and be enrolled in SCWS for at least one year in addition to submitting an essay and receiving recommendation from a teacher.
SCWS is the only public school in the state of South Carolina that provided scholarships directly from the school to the students.
The award will be paid directly to the college, university, or trade school each student chooses to attend this fall.
