SC Whitmore School awards 41 diplomas to 2023 – 2024 Winter Graduates

Columbia, SC – SC Whitmore School (SCWS), an online public charter high school based in Columbia, is excited to announce a new school record for winter graduates, of 41 high school students during the winter of the 2023 – 2024 school year. Executive Director Kim Dunbar said, “We are so proud of our winter graduates. Their dedication allowed them to graduate early and pursue the next steps of their journey, whether it be to continue their education at a two or four-year college, start a career, or join the United States Armed Forces. We are happy to offer a flexible, personalized, and inclusive learning environment so students can achieve their goals.”

Since 2011 SC Whitmore School has graduated more than 1,000 high school students in South Carolina, showing the state of South Carolina and beyond the positive impact of online learning.

The Class of 2024, winter graduates will be celebrated at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on June 8th, 2024, surrounded by SCWS faculty, staff, family, and friends.

This year out of the 41 students 1 was an early graduate, a student who graduated high school one year early, compared to the traditional four years of high school. SCWS had an additional 24 students who graduated a semester early.

SCWS Principal, Ebone Adams said, “We are so proud of our graduates. Their hard work, perseverance, and academic achievements reflect not only their individual talents but also the supportive learning environment that our school fosters. We’re  looking forward to our next round of graduates in the Spring!”
