SC Whitmore School Board member named to the Post and Courier’s 12 Black Leaders 2023

Columbia, SC – SC Whitmore School (SCWS), a virtual public charter high school’s board member Tim Behling has been named one of the Post and Couriers 12 Black Leaders 2023.
Behling joined the SC Whitmore School Board in September 2022 and continues to share his expertise in professional development, community outreach, resume writing, nonprofit management, branding, and marketing with our students, faculty, and staff.
Eboné Adams, SC Whitmore Principal said, “Tim is a great pillar of the community and our school. His pedigree speaks for itself. We are grateful to have a leader like him to serve on our board who has such a rich understanding of the needs of our youth. He is very deserving of this recognition.”
In 2015, Tim Behling founded SUCCESSTEAM, a nonprofit organization that focuses on educational youth development for teens ages 13-18 through leadership and mentorship. Behling was the first in his family to graduate with a four-year degree. He is a graduate of Aiken Technical College and the University of South Carolina Aiken.
Behling has received many awards and recognitions for his work as a leader in the community, including being named a “Young Professional 2 Follow” by The Aiken Standard 2019.
Executive Director Kim Dunbar said, “We were so honored when Mr. Behling wanted to be a part of our school board and support our students. He has such great experience serving the youth of South Carolina, we knew it would be a perfect fit. He continues to provide great insight for the needs of our students and the community. We are so proud of him and could not think of someone more deserving of this award.”
