Director of Student Services
I was born in Columbia, SC. My husband Tim and I have been married for 10 years. We have three beautiful children, Timothy, Bryson and Kai. I received my undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and my Ed.S. in School Counseling from the University of South Carolina. I started my career as a school counselor in 2009 in a virtual school setting. Working in a virtual school helped me realize the importance of having educational options such as virtual school because every student learns differently and had different needs. I enjoy watching students become independent learners and gain the confidence and discipline to succeed in such an educational setting.
I love working at SC Whitmore because our students have the opportunity to start with a “clean slate”. No matter what they have experienced in the past that has interfered with their education, we give them a second chance to show their true potential. I like to see parents take a breath of fresh air when they see how SC Whitmore teachers, faculty and staff genuinely have their student’s best interest at heart. We are true advocates for our students because of our collaborative effort to provide the best quality education to each student that enrolls in our school.
