School Testing Coordinator
I was born and raised in the small town of Chapin, SC until graduating in 2009. After graduating, I went off to college to study accounting until I found my passion for education. While attending South Carolina State University, I changed my major from accounting to special education, joined Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Honors Society and graduated with honors with my Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education. Upon graduating, I accepted a position teaching students with emotional and behavioral problems (ED) in Richland One School District in Columbia, SC. While teaching in Richland One, I became a licensed realtor in the Columbia and surrounding areas. After teaching in Richland One for a few years, I accepted a position with the Richland 2 School District teaching students who were diagnosed with autism as well as students that showed characteristics of autism and struggled with social and peer interaction in their Social Support Program (SSP). While teaching in Richland 2, I graduated from Coastal Carolina University with my Master of Education in Instructional Technology. After a few years of teaching in Richland 2, I joined the SC Whitmore School family in 2020 as the School Testing Coordinator.
Outside of SCWS, you can find me traveling with my family and friends, conducting real estate business, watching HGTV, fishing and exploring the Columbia Riverwalk. I am excited to be a part of the SC Whitmore family where students are able to have school their way.
