Originally from Alabama, I now reside in Spartanburg, SC. My husband and I have called the Upstate of South Carolina home since 2004 and we love it here! I am very active in the community and both serve in various leadership roles at my church.
I married my college sweetheart in 1998 and we both began our teaching careers in Georgia in 2001. I flip flop between working like crazy and doing absolutely nothing. I enjoy working on multiple projects with my husband but I also enjoy binge watching Netflix snuggled with our two cats for hours on end.
My education background is in Science and I’ve always enjoyed using those skills to figure out the world around me. I have a BS in Environmental Science from Troy University and a MS in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I’ve taught everything from Genetics to Chemistry and in settings as diverse as colleges and alternative schools, but by far SC Whitmore School is my favorite!
