Sam Dotson

Academic Recovery Coach

I’m originally from Boca Raton, Florida, but I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from “The Mighty” Voorhees College located in Denmark, SC. I have also earned a Master’s degree in Sport Management from Auburn University at Montgomery, and in the near future a Doctoral degree.

I have worked in many areas of Higher education for about 5 years from Professor, Admissions Recruiter, Academic Athletic Enhancement, Softball coach, and First-Year Experience. I have a passion for the uplift and achievements of young adults and with that passion comes a responsibility. My motto is “If you love me, and I lack. Teach me”.

My Queen and I have 3 beautiful daughters (Ava, Amari, and Zoe). We enjoy spending time together, traveling, eating, and competing in everything. God and Education is at the forefront of our family and only sports divide our home (Cowboys/Vikings).

I believe I hone the skills that can motivate and inspire our youth that education is important and SCWS is the place to be successful. It brings me great humility to give back to this new group of students what so many professors and mentors have given me and that is the power of thought, hard work, and applying oneself. I’m thrilled to be apart of this team.
