Stacey McGee

Mathematics Teacher

I was born, raised and still reside in Camden, South Carolina.  I attended Francis Marion University after high school and like many other college students, my major was undeclared until the last possible minute.  The only thing I knew was that I loved math and seemed to gravitate towards those classes. In 2005, I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics.

After graduating from college, I began to explore career options (a major was not the only thing I was undecided about). I worked for a company processing retirement plans before moving on to accounting and auditing. In the pursuit of happiness, I decided that I wanted to make a difference by teaching. I obtained my certificate to teach and in 2007 began my teaching career. I have not looked back since and can honestly say I love what I do.

I am a firm believer in continued education and earned my Master’s degree in Teaching from USC (University of South Carolina). I continue to take courses and earn certifications that will allow me to be the best teacher to my students.

I am married with two wonderful children, ages 11 and 8. We have a Great Dane (Moose) that we often refer to as our third child.  We love to spend time together as a family whether that is at church, on vacation or just hanging out at home.

I am extremely excited to be a part of SC Whitmore School. It is awesome to have this opportunity for students and teachers alike.
