Troy Crump

Career and Technology Education

I was born and raised in Chapin, SC. I currently reside in Prosperity, SC. I earned my undergraduate degree from Kaplan University (now Purdue University), and my Master’s Degree from Anderson University. After being in Law Enforcement for 25 years I decided to retire and become a teacher. I started teaching with SC Whitmore School in 2015 as a part time teacher. I became a full time teacher in 2017 and earned my CTE Certification in 2023.
I love being part of SC Whitmore School as I feel that I get to make a difference in the student’s lives. I want to make sure that they are prepared for life outside of high school. Whether that is for college life or going straight into the workforce.
I also teach at Newberry College, where I am the lead faculty for the online Criminal Justice Program. In my spare time I like being outside and camping (glamping). I love spending time with my wife, and my family and my 6 miniature Dachshunds (Weiner dog).
