SC Whitmore School students enjoy the benefits of learning at a virtual school. Our students can create their own schedules, learn at their own pace and work from anywhere. This can be hard to imagine for students coming from a traditional brick and mortar school.
Here's what an average day can be like as an SC Whitmore School student.
Wake Up
7:30 A.M.
You wake up and begin working on your next lesson in your English course. Your English course is fun, but you find it particularly difficult. Therefore, you take your time reading the lesson and answering the questions. You have the freedom at SC Whitmore School to move through the lesson at your own pace. Once you complete the lesson, its time for breakfast.
Guitar Lesson
10:00 A.M.
Music is really important to you. Playing guitar is so much fun, and it’s a great skill to have. SC Whitmore School wants to support you in pursuing your passion. You have the flexibility to take a guitar lesson in the middle of the school day!
Lunch + Coffee
12:00 P.M.
After your guitar lession, it's time to tackle Algebra. Math is your BEST subject. You love it and enjoy working hard in math. While sipping on a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop, you finish TWO lessons in one day. Moving at your own pace means you can go faster, too!
Library
2:00 P.M.
The local library is a nice, quiet spot to dive into your next Chemistry lesson. Being surrounded by books and Wi-Fi ensures you'll be fully prepared to ace this one.
Sports Practice
4:00 P.M.
While SC Whitmore School doesn't have its own sports team, you can still play on your local high school's team! Whether it's football, swimming, volleyball, or fencing, you can play the sport you love while attending SC Whitmore School.
Family + Friends Time
6:00 P.M.
Time to go home, have dinner and be with the family. You've had an exciting, full day so far. Some rest will be nice!
You Time
8:00 P.M.
Maybe you enjoy reading, video games, volunteering, or running...and your high school experience. You have the flexibility to keep your hobbies in your schedule, too! Pursuing your interests is an important part of who you are and your education.
Late Night Lesson
10:00 P.M.
That English lesson from this morning was tough. You'd like to take a little more time before bed to walk through it again to ensure you have the foundation needed for the next lesson. Moving ahead at your own pace really comes in handy, whether you need more time or you want to push ahead at a faster pace.
Whew - that was a day packed with learning, personal time, activities and more. SC Whitmore School students really do have the flexibility to build their own school schedules around their personal lives. This is why we call it "School Your Way!"
We want you to pursue your passions, while you learn and enjoy being a high school student.
