Columbia, SC — SC Whitmore School (SCWS), an online public charter high school based in Columbia, proudly announces the graduation of 22 students during the Winter 2025–2026 academic year. These graduates represent determination, resilience, and the power of flexible, student-centered learning.
Executive Director Kim Dunbar shared her pride in the graduates, stating, “This graduating class is a powerful example of what can happen when students are given the flexibility, support, and belief they deserve. Each of these graduates has shown perseverance and determination, and we are incredibly proud of the paths they’ve forged. Their success reflects our mission at SC Whitmore School—to meet students where they are and empower them to achieve their goals.”
Founded in 2011, SC Whitmore School has graduated more than 1,400 students across South Carolina, providing innovative educational opportunities through technology-driven instruction and flexible learning pathways. SCWS is dedicated to meeting students where they are—academically and personally—while preparing them for success beyond high school in college, careers, and life.
The Winter Class of 2026 reflects the school’s commitment to personalized learning. Of the 22 graduates, some students completed high school a full year early, while others graduated a semester ahead of the traditional four-year timeline. Twenty students are members of the 2022–2023 cohort, one student from the 2023–2024 cohort, and one from the 2021–2022 cohort, highlighting SCWS’s ability to support students with diverse academic journeys and timelines.
Families and friends will gather to celebrate these graduates during the SC Whitmore School Winter Graduation Ceremony on June 6, 2026, at the Lexington Two Performing Arts Center.
SCWS Principal Ebone Adams praised the graduating class for their commitment and perseverance. “The Class of 2026 has demonstrated remarkable dedication and resilience. Many of these students balanced unique challenges while staying committed to their goals, and they never lost sight of the finish line. Watching them grow into confident, capable graduates has been an honor.”
As these students take their next steps, SC Whitmore School celebrates not only their academic achievements but also their growth, determination, and readiness for the future.
