Top workplaces

Columbia, SC — SC Whitmore School has been named a 2026 South Carolina Top Workplace, an honor recognizing organizations that foster exceptional workplace culture and employee engagement. Only 28 organizations with fewer than 150 employees across South Carolina earned this distinction in 2026, placing SC Whitmore School among an elite group of employers statewide.

The South Carolina Top Workplaces award is based entirely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential survey that measures key drivers of workplace culture, including leadership, communication, alignment, and professional growth.

“This recognition speaks directly to the heart of who we are as a school,” said Ebone Adams, Principal of SC Whitmore School. “Our team is deeply committed to students, families, and one another. Creating a supportive, mission-driven environment for our staff allows us to better serve our learners every day, and I’m incredibly proud of the culture we’ve built together.”

SC Whitmore School is known for its innovative, flexible learning model and commitment to student-centered education. That same philosophy extends to its approach to supporting educators and staff—prioritizing collaboration, creativity, and professional fulfillment.

“Being named a Top Workplace is especially meaningful because it comes from the voices of our own team,” said Kim Dunbar, Executive Director of SC Whitmore School. “Our people are our greatest strength. This recognition affirms our commitment to building a workplace where educators feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work for students and families across South Carolina.”

The 2026 South Carolina Top Workplaces winners will be featured in a statewide publication celebrating organizations that exemplify excellence in workplace culture.
